Born and raised here in the Pacific Northwest, I'm proud to call Seattle home.
Here's what I'm up to right now:
On the pitch *DOINK*
On the field hanging with Blitz & hyping up the 12s!
Catch me co-hosting Beyond the Pokédex as Spruce!
It all started with a storytelling event ➡️ a sober morning dance party ➡️ Consumer Electronics Show ➡️ Monster Jam ➡️ Seattle Seahawks ➡️ Pokémon ➡️ Seattle Sounders.
I left a few things out in between, but it's been quite the journey and by no means linear. One thing led to the next and opportunities have come up as long as I've been open. Thank you to all the people that have opened up those doors, introduced me to these amazing experiences, and gave me a mic.
When I started speaking professionally (c. 2019) I realized I had a stereotype to defy: proving that an engineer could be a public speaker. So whoever you are, wherever you're from, and whatever your dream is, you can make it. Take it from a too-hyper, soccer-loving, Pokémon-playing, couldn't-get-him-to-stop-talking, Filipino-American kid from a small town in the Puget Sound who has made it to some of the biggest stages in the nation.
Below are some of those experiences I was talking about, and some of the content that was put out into the world along the way.

I've emceed and hosted everything from sporting events with 60,000 people to fundraisers/auctions to races to weddings to morning dance parties. If you've got something that could use a voice put me on the mic!
My rates vary, but are generally between $50-100/hr. I don't want price to be a barrier to having an amazing event, so if that's outside of your budget send me an email hi@imandrestone.com
Find opportunities to speak! Spoken word, an event at your school, any and every time there is an opportunity - do it! You could start a YouTube channel, study communications, or find a storytelling event (e.g. Moth). Look for something you can speak to, find your voice, and speak!
